Employment Services help celebrate headspace Armadale’s 1st birthday!

Workpower has started a fantastic relationship with headspace Armadale. Employment Consultant Sara Cuevas and Recruitment Consultant Jan Cartmell attended headspace Armadale’s 1st birthday celebrations!

Jan and Sara from Workpower’s Employment Services team were invited by headspace Armadale’s Manager, Annette Chivers, to attend their one year birthday celebrations on the 10th June. Jan has been building a relationship with headspace for some time and will be attending the headspace Consortium. The plan moving forward is to sign a memorandum of understanding between both organisations with various purposes.

The Employment Services team are to co-locate once a fortnight and provide vocational support to headspace clientele. Workpower are well positioned to offer excellent employment services and supports to youth that currently make use of headspace and their services. This relationship with headspace will also allow Employment Services clients who may need additional mental health support to receive non-vocational assistance and services from headspace. This can include mental health, drug and alcohol and sexual health services; access to a GP; and youth programs which might assist with their journey to employment. We hope that this will offer participants in Workpower and headspace a holistic approach to services.

headspace Armadale is a free, youth-friendly and confidential service available to young people aged 12 – 25 years in the south east metropolitan region of Perth. headspace Armadale brings together a range of co-located community-based and government agencies to provide a holistic service as a “one-stop-shop” for young people.
